Today, 5th May 2005 we have reached agreement with Becta to lead the group of FLOSS communites in their discussions with Becta. This follows the meetings that have been held over the past few months. Following negotiations with many different parties, this e-mail has been sent to Paul Shoesmith at Becta. 

Dear Paul,
 
I am pleased to be able to formally offer Schoolforge
UK as the lead representative from the Free, Libre and
Open Source Software community in their discussions
with Becta.
 
We have, with the support of the Open Source
Consortium,  formed a working group which contains a
representation from a very wide set of groupings.  We
are sure we will be able to offer you a single point
of contact with these diverse communities.
 
I hope that this is the beginning of a very postive
relationship between Becta and Schoolforge UK.  For
the time being can e-mails for this channel of
