Irax is based in Bury, North Manchester and specialises in the use of Linux and open source software. We have a number of schools throughout the North West using our sevices:

  • Samba Servers working with XP pro clients in a locked down desktop environment.
  • Support & maintenance services.
  • Proxy Services and Firewalled ADSL services.
  • IMAP email and webmail.
  • Remote Backup
  • Kiosk browsing from our own customised bootable linux cd for halls of residence.
  • Crossover Training and support for Open Office.Org and other applications.


Irax also Develop and maintain specialised Database and CRM systems for a major entertainment service.
